Sabudana Vada | Sago Vada | Step By Step Photos
Sabudana vada recipe comes from Maharashtrian cuisine in India and mainly consumed during fasting in hindu religion but this is a delicious snack which can be relished on normal days as well. Sabudana along with potatoes are deep fried and typically enjoyed with spicy green chutney.
I have already posted the recipe for mint-coriander chutney that goes very well with these. Also, I have posted recipe for vrat ke chawal ki kheer which you can prepare during fasting and complete your meal. So, no more “hungry” tummy, just “happy” tummy on those fasting days.

Pav Bhaji | Bombay Pav Bhaji | Pav Bhaji Mumbai Style
Pav Bhaji is a popular street food from Mumbai but famous in whole of India. This is a snack recipe loaded with all vegetables and derives all taste from boiled vegetables sauted in butter and bhaji masala. You can add as many vegetables you like and taste will slightly vary on what vegetables you put in bhaji. I personally like a sweeter bhaji so add more of carrots but you are free to play around. Bhaji is served with lightly toasted buttered pavs (soft bread roll) and whole dish tastes just “DIVINE” !!!

Mint-Coriander Chutney | Dhaniya-Pudina Chutney
Mint-Coriander chutney is prepared in almost all households in India and sits in refrigerator regularly to complement any meal whether it be snacks or breakfast, lunch or dinner. Some like it spicy and some a bit tangy. You can play around with ingredients and make your own variations by replacing garlic with ginger or even adding both. Some people replace lemon juice with dry mango powder as well. Just feel free and try different variations and figure out which you like the best.

Bhindi Do Pyaza | Okra-Onion Stir Fry
Bhindi or Okra whatever you call it, is my favourite. Bhindi Do Pyaza means that you add double the quantity of onions in the dish than the bhindi itself. This is north indian style of making bhindi which is very popularly served at indian weddings as well as family functions.
Capsicum Curry (in Coconut-Peanut gravy)
I personally love bell peppers and use it in many dishes. But when i came across this fantastic recipe using bell peppers in coconut-peanut gravy I decided to try it. To my surprise, hubby liked it a lot, who is for sure, not at all a capsicum lover. This is a very rich dish as it uses coconut and peanut for the gravy and tastes delicious.
