Egg Fried Rice is a common street food in India. This indo chinese dish is wholesome in itself but can be accompanied with any indo chinese main dish. This rice is yummy and packed with protein from eggs.
Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 5-8 mins.
Cooking time: 15-20 mins.
Ingredients:
1 medium sized onion sliced
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
4 eggs lightly beaten
4 cup cooked white rice
½ teaspoon Cumin seeds
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
1 ½ tablespoon Soy sauce
1 tablespoon Chilli vinegar
Directions:
- Heat oil in the pan, add in cumin seeds. Once they begin to splutter, add in sliced onion and saute until golden brown.
- Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for 2-3 mins until raw smell of ginger garlic fades away.
- Pour in beaten eggs and stir. Keep scrambling so that eggs are cooked and do not stick to the skillet.
- Add in cooked rice, soy sauce, chilli vinegar,salt and pepper, mix and stir fry for a minute until ingredients combine.
- Serve hot immediately.
Tips:
- Cooked rice can be refrigerated for few minutes before adding into the recipe. This avoids rice dish getting mushy while cooking.
- Serve hot with any indo chinese main dish.
