Aam ka Panna | Aam Panna | Kairi Panna| Raw Mango Drink (with step by step pictures)

“Aam ka panna” is indian spiced drink made of raw mangoes. It is yummilicious recipe and keeps you hydrated in intensive summer heat. If you like sweet yet tangy flavors, this drink is for you.

It is known for its heat-resistant properties. It is made from green mangoes, and is consumed as a tasty and healthy beverage to fight against the intense Indian summer heat. This thirst-quenching recipe is easy to make and you can make it advance and serve along with meals or just as is.



Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 10 mins.
Cooking time: 10 mins.

Ingredients:

2 large raw mangoes
2 cup water or as required
2 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
½ teaspoon black salt  or to taste
½ teaspoon salt or to taste
1 tablespoon pudina paste (mint paste) or 10-15 pudina leaves
Crushed ice to serve

Directions:

  1. Wash and boil the raw mangoes until they become tender and cooked thoroughly. I used pressure cooker for this and boiled to two whistles.
  2. Switch off the flame and allow to cool. Once they are cool enough to handle, peel the skin and mash and strain the pulp.
  3. Stir in sugar, mint paste,cumin powder and salt. Mix until sugar dissolves completely.
  4. Add ice cold water / crushed ice and adjust the consistency as you desire.
  5. Transfer to serving glass and garnish with mint leaves.

Step By Step:

Tips:
  • You can make mint paste by grinding mint leaves with little water in blender.
  • Keep it chilled in refrigerator until ready to serve. You can also add crushed ice at the time of serving.
