“Cucumber Raita” is yet another raita recipe to beat the summer heat. Cucumbers contain multiple B vitamins, including vitamin B1, vitamin B5, and vitamin B7 (biotin). B Vitamins help combat stress and anxiety. Cucumbers are rich in two of the most basic elements needed for healthy digestion: water and fiber. They keep you hydrated during summers and also when you want to lose weight.
Serves: 2-3
Preparation time: 5-8 mins.
Cooking time: zero mins.
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh curd/ yogurt
½ grated cucumber
½ teaspoon roasted cumin powder
¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
½ teaspoon chaat masala
½ teaspoon sugar
Black Salt as required (or normal salt)
Directions:
- Whisk the curd to get it smooth and lump free.
- Wash and peel the cucumber. Grate half the cucumber.
- Mix in all dry spices into the raita.
- Add in grated cucumber.
- Serve with desired dish like pulao, biryani, roti etc.
Tips:
- Keep refrigerated until use so that raita does not turn sour.
